Africa Youth Day: We Have A lot To Celebrate About Our Youths — FG

countries all over Africa celebrate the 7th Africa Youth Day with
fanfare, the Federal Government has reiterated the need to celebrate the
youths in the continent as its most priceless resources.
The minister of Youth Development, Inuwa Abdul-Kadir, stated this while addressing the press at a conference to commemorate the Africa Youth Day in his office. Sayings that African youths, especially youth in Nigeria have so far contributed immensely towards the development of the nation and the continent at large despite some current criticisms against them, especially as they are being used for immoral acts like kidnappings, Boko Haram insurgence as well as other social vices presently threatening the very survival of the nation.
He said it is necessary to look forward and appreciate their successes so far recorded rather harp on their failures. Abdul-Kadir said that Nigeria Youths have demonstrated commitment to the success of the 2011 generalelections and other elections till date which have been adjudged as not only fair but credible.
According to him, Nigerian youths have also recorded successes in the sporting world, music, education, acting, military exploits, just to mention a few.
